OUR HISTORY
We began making quality handcrafted artisan jewelry over 20 years ago under the name, Praha® Jewelry Design. We sold our speciality jewelry at Craft Fairs, online and had multiple wholesale accounts, selling to boutiques in the Northern Virginia-area.
We opened our handcrafted jewelry and bead bricks and mortar store in November of 2019. Praha® Beads and Jewelry was located at 215 S. Union Street, Suite 8, Alexandria, VA 22314. However, due to COVID we had to close our boutique after only two years, and go online.

I adore all things Jane Austin and the Regency Period. Our designs are inspired from “Old-World” pieces crafted in Europe. Additionally, Praha is the Czech word for Prague (the capital of the Czech Republic). Both my husband and I are of Czech decent and travel there yearly to visit with family and friends. I am overwhelmingly inspired by the Czech people, culture and architecture. I find much inspiration for my designs on my travels.
We began Praha® Jewelry Design 20 years ago after such a visit. I love mixing various gemstones to create pretty and feminine pieces that will continue to delight and enchant. Each piece has an “Old-World/European feel” to them.
We use the highest quality gemstones, glass, sterling silver, gold fill and vermeil.
